Sega Game Gear — a handheld gaming console released in 1990 in Japan. The characteristics of Game Gear seriously exceeded GameBoy, the market leader of that time. Sega console was equipped with color screen and functional ergonomics. The architecture of console almost completely replicated Master System. Despite high energy consumption, Game Gear firmly occupied its market share and its production lasted for seven years until 1997.
